Tuesday night...
A big night for us. We booked an apperance with Cingular Wireless with Correll Buckhalter. Over 150 showed up to the Concord Mall in Wilmington, DE to meet Buck, get their picture taken with him and have him signed autographs. He showed up a bit late, but when he got there, he was his usuall brilliant smiling self. When he first got there, he headed up to Cafe Rivera to meet and greet some VIPs at Cingular. After that, he was welcomed into the general concourse of the mall to the E-A-G-L-E-S chants and applause. It was a great night. I'm sure someone has pics, unfortunately, I don't since I had to handle the biz-nass.

BODOG WEEKLY ROUNDUP...
Ended up 4-2-1 on the weekend. Won the ½ spread on the Temple game, lost the VA Tech game (thanks for showing up, Hokies – YOU SUCK!), FSU over DUKE (how the hell did Duke score 24?????), RUTGERS over NAVY (sorry about your QB Middies), the UNDER in the NYG/ATL game (41.5 was the under, 41 was the total – I heard this listening to Eskin and it caught my ear), LOST the PHIL/NO game…okay, all the signs were there to NOT pick the Eagles, and I did anyway. This is NOT a good sign for them, NOT AT ALL. Poor errors, stupid mistakes, etc. Champs don’t make these kinds of mistakes. And I pushed the MIA/NYJ… didn’t think Harrington could score 10 points in any amount of time.
THURSDAY
I got the weekend cracked open Thursday night checking out a show at World Café Live, right off the campus of UPenn. We checked out Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers. We had a nice little group of us hit the show including my wife Kris, my buddy Trip from the Wachovia Center and his wife and my friend Megan and her friend Katelyn. My old boss Neil is the GM there, so he hooked us up with some cocktails and some private upper level seats. If you ever check out a show there, ask is if the balcony is open. A couple of notable no-shows, my buddy Devo, who owns his own business couldn’t make it since he had deliveries (kegs, etc) and my buddy AJ and his girl Heather. Not terribly disappointed they didn’t make it. All good. Great show, great set list, great venue. The only this was that I had a ticket on my windshield when I came out. Booo Philadelphia Parking Authority!!!!!

FRIDAY DAY
I was supposed to meet the band Rascal Flats to play a round of golf at Hartefeld. Hartefeld is one of my clients and it would have been good if we could have gotten some celebs out there to play the course and get a buzz. I show up at the course and minutes later, I get an email/phone call saying the band got a late start and wouldn’t be able to make it. Oh well, no worries. I joined a twosome and playing a round with the Brothers Murphy. I shot pretty well, breaking a 100 at the tough course, which I was happy about. I stopped home for a quick change and to pick up my credentials

FRIDAY NIGHT
Was supposed to coordinate a meet and greet with Rascal Flats and the Reid family. Everyone was there… except for Andy. Oh well. They showed up a couple of people short, so I was able to squeeze in Carol Wilson, her husband and their daughter Kaitlynn, into the meet and greet. All went well, spent some quality time with EFC big-wigs Larry Magid, Geoff Gordon and Michael Lessner. Look for some notes on the evening in Dan Gross’ column this week in the Daily News.

The rest of the weekend wrapped up pretty succinctly. I was supposed to play golf at 8, but couldn’t pry myself out of bed. Ran errands until about 2p when I decided to watch my college picks unfold (to my delight). Sunday was the same thing, but waiting for NFL to come on to torture me with the worst ½ of football the Eagles have played this season.

Check out my man, Ashy... um I mean Darnell Rawlins... co-host of the final three Chappelle shows... played two of the funniest characters on the show... Ashy Larry and of course, "The Mummy" who was constantly late for his meetings with his parole officer. We played about 8 holes and then were joined by someone calling himself "Uncle Luke." Yeah, Luke Skywalker, year, Luther Cambell. AWESOME DUDES.

So here's just a smattering... a sampling if you will of what we will bringing you hopefully on a weekly basis. I know, the pic SUCKS. This happened about a month or so ago... My man JT... he was in the middle of brining sexy back, but before he popped out on stage at the Electric Factory, Northern Liberties in Philly, I hooked him up with some sweet golf gear from Hartefeld National. JT is a big time golfer and he was loving that stuff. His security guard was NOT loving it and wanted to know how I got in there and BLAH BLAH, and JT said, I invited him and now take the pic. The pic is blurry because the meathead security guard can't take a pic. Okay, I messed with the settings during sound check and never fixed them. Totally my bad.
Welcome, people

Welcome to DE-Lebrity... Delaware's connection to the celebrity world of Philly, NY and the world. The spot is run by PHILLY/DEL/NJ PR maven who seems to be at all the right places at all the right times...I constantly get... "I need..." "Can you get..." the answer... USUALLY, yes and yes. I do what the kids in Norfilly call... "hookin it up."

This little spot will detail my past, present and future interactions, meetings and run-ins with anyone of note... most of these deTALES will take place in Philly, where I have spent my formative years, running in the quasi-famous circles, hitting the right bars, fine dining establishments, and entertainment facilities with them.

When local celebs want/need something... reservations, exclusive meet and greets with Beyonce or the Wiggles, they call me... ever read Malcom Gladwell's The Tipping Point? Of course you have... I am "The Connector."Anyway, should be a good weekend, starting off with tonights trip to World Cafe live to check out Stephen Kellogg, a good friend of mine and one of the firercest singer/songwriter/guitarist out there. Check him out at http://www.stephenkellogg.com/. Of course, we don't pay. Included guests will be the wife, my boy Devo, Mr. Black and his lovely Mrs. (also from the first state) and possibly AJ "ACE" Feeley.

Tomorrow we'll hit up Hartefeld Golf Course tomorrow with one of the hottest bands not just in county music but in music in general, Rascal Flats and their crew. Then onto The Wachovia Center for an exclusive meet and greet with the big man, "Big Red" Andy Reid and his family. Check back, we'll have pics and comments from the man who's leading the birds to Miami, FL in a few months.
